Five going on 30

Ella, Ella, Ella. My little show-off, sassy pants. She loves to goof off. She loves to boss. She loves to ask "Why?" As we sit here she is saying, "Why did you write three 'Ella's'?"
Ella Jane is such a funny girl. She is done with summer. It's too hot and she misses school. She is so excited for school. SO EXCITED! She got a letter in the mail from her teacher and is nearly dying over it. But, while we wait for the last half of the summer to drift by Ella works on her homework and reading. She is doing so well in her reading and I'm pretty sure she will be ahead once the school year starts.
Ella is a little social butterfly. She has recently decided that her friends need to be ranked. The twins across the street are her first best friends. Then Clara, Haven and so on. I keep telling her she can have lots of best friends like mommy without ranking them but she insists.
Ella has changed so much lately but is still so much the same. She still loves her movies and playing dress up but now instead of sitting and watching those movies she must get up and act along with the movie. When she plays dressups it's no longer about dance parties but elaborate story lines and pretend. I love watching her imagination work. Although, it can be kind of gruesome from time to time.
Since Ella was little she would ask me to tell her Princess Ella stories. They were very simple made up stories but she loved them. Now when I tell her Princess Ella stories I make her help me. It's so much fun seeing the things she comes up with. I really need to record them or something.
Ella has also gotten quite particular and clean. She hates letting Olivia in her room because it will get messy. She hates letting Olivia borrow her play dough because Liv might mix up the colors. She has everything just so on her nightstand and dresser (it still looks cluttered but to her it is organized) Now, if only she was like this with the rest of the house...
Ella is such a fun girl with one of the best laughs in the world. She is always willing to let that laugh loose and it makes our home such a happy place. While Livie shows her strength in a much more obvious way, Ella shows hers by being a sweet and loving big sister. She shows it by being gracious as we begin to focus a lot of our attention on Olivia. She shows it with her sass and silliness.
