A Little More Time

We thought we were breaking out of here. We were so excited. And then we saw Sonja's (the NP) face. Poor Sonja. She told three people they were going home today. Then she had to tell all three people just kidding.
We ran into a little problem with this pleural effusion. It's still accumulating. Not a lot and not quickly, but enough that we need to stay. They are going from twice a day lasix to three to fix the problem. They'll do that for a bit, then down to twice again, and THEN we'll see what her Xray looks like. If all is well then home will be in our future. Near or far, no one knows. For now we've been told to plan on next week and then if it's earlier then it'll be a happy surprise.
As much of a bummer as this is, Livie is still doing fantastic. She is happy and playing. We went or a walk today with the physical therapy ladies. They played games and she even showed them how high she can jump. Finally we made her sit down because she was getting a little pale. We pulled out the playdough and she played for a good hour with that. Then nap time at the regular hour and then a visit from Ms. Tamara, Olivia's preschool teacher. We are now relaxing, playing play dough again and listening to our Disney music.
It's discouraging not being on our way home right now, but I am happy to keep her where she will get cared for like she needs.
