Livie's drainage has slowed a ton and her X-ray looked perfect this morning, but they're going to keep the tube until at least tomorrow. They don't want to be surprised again with another readmit. I am totally okay with that.
Livie's labs haven't improved. Her sodium is actually lower today than yesterday due to her new obsession with ice water. She has been drinking a ton! So, today mommy is doing her part and putting Livie on a high sodium diet. So, she had cheetos and root beer for breakfast. We're going to limit the water today in hopes that she can stop taking the sodium chloride, and also so that she can dry out a little bit more and get us out of here sooner.
Liv's heart and blood pressure look good so they're going to stop her enalapril and work on getting the right combo of diuretics. The lasix still isn't doing its job so they'll be replacing that with bumex. Hopefully that will do the job. So, she'll be on three different diuretics. Diuril, bumex, and aldactone. Fingers crossed!
So we'll be here for a few days more. Livie is feeling loads better today and has been smiling and having fun with the nurses and mommy. She has been calling daddy and filling him in on our doings this morning. Yesterday Daddy and Ella came and we went on a nice lengthy walk outside. Then Grammy, Bompa, and Aunt Ally and her niece and nephew came by. We played in the playroom and had a great time visiting. When grammy and bompa left Livie even joined the mommy, daddy, and Ella for dinner in the family room here. I think getting Livie a little more involved with regular family stuff has been just the thing to get this girly feeling a little happier.
So, there's no word on when we may break free but everyone is very happy with how she's doing. Also, we took Livie O2 off to get the crusty boogies out and her sats held at 92-93! In the past when we took her O2 off she'd slip into the 70's so I'm in heart mommy heaven. She will still be on O2 for awhile but at least I know her heart is feeling well enough to hold its own without.
