1 year!

My baby! I can't believe it! She still seems so little to me. And she is. She is still the ittiest of my babies. She doesn't let that stop her though.
Abby is into everything. She's starting to get better at actually listening when we say no, and will even get a pouty face when we scold her. It's both heartbreaking and adorable. So, the into everything is at least getting better.
Most of Abigail's developmental stuff the past little while has been mental. She's been learning a ton and I love it. She has said her for sure first word (there's some debate on whether "dada" was her first word.) But, her first and favorite word is "keke" aka kitty. She only whispers it and it's adorable. She sorta says soft to which is her breathing "haaaa" when she pets the kitty. She jabbers a ton still and signs some too. She consistently signs please, more, and all done.
We've been working on weaning Abby too. At first it wasn't going great. She's pull at my shirt collar and start signing please. It was cute/awkward/funny. Now that I'm drying up and she's gotten used to cow milk and juice she's doing much better. And hey, she still snuggles me even when there's not milk involved which I didn't expect.
Abby has also discovered some new likes. She has always loves noisier toys but we've recently discovered she has a love for wheels. We've pulled out all the wheeled toy we have and she loves them. She zooms them around while she does this weird sort of half crawl. She moves around with one knee down and her other leg walking. It's weird but cute. And daddy's super excited about the wheels thing. Maybe one of his girls will like engines like he does?
As for Abby's first birthday, we kept it small. Just us. I feel a little bad but doing big family parties for all my girls every year was getting a bit much. Couple that with her birthday being right after thanksgiving (and our dishwasher exploding and us not having a kitchen floor) and I just couldn't. So, poor girl only got this household to party with her. The best part of her party was her cake. She double fisted that chocolately goodness and went to town. It was adorable.
Abby is so loved by all of us. We're so lucky to have her sassy little self in our family.
