Today it was back to PCMC. It was a planned trip, unlike this last weekend. Today was our first appointment with the high risk clinic. Other than being a really long day it went well.
A quick recap. Livie's sats are still all over the place. She was actually pretty low at PCMC and we had to turn her up to .5 liter. We've never had to go over .25. So we did a last minute echo to check her sano and see if there was a narrowing that was hindering blood flow. As far as they could tell from the images, no narrowing. If her sats remain crazy and we have to keep upping her oxygen we will have to go in for a cath lab. That is considered a surgery. Minor, but surgery nonetheless :(
After clinic we headed to Livie's swallow study. It all started really well and she wasn't aspirating her thin liquids...until they tired her out. So she is was they call a fatigue aspirator. BOO! So we are still on the NJ and nectar thick liquids.
I'm pretty frustrated. Since we've been on oxygen I'm even more tied to the house. It's just too hard hauling around the oxygen, pulse ox, food pump, and the baby (who is getting heavier everyday, yay!) I was hoping to at least get rid of one tube. But alas, it was not to be. Ah well, at least we have AC and so being stuck inside isn't too stifling.

I sincerely feel your pain! My boy is 8 months old and has never been off oxygen. We also had the feeding pump for 6 months, and I avoided taking him anywhere because it was just too much of a pain. I picked up my nephew yesterday and it was so weird to hold a baby without any attachments!
