With how the last two months have been I didn't even realize what the date was today until I got a text from one of my best friends this morning wishing Olivia a happy two month birthday.
Livie is growing amazingly too. The Dr's couldn't be happier with her progress. She's getting the rolls I was so worried she would never have. I'm sure it helps that on top of her continuous feeds she loves her bottle and what little nursing we practice.
She's such a silly girl. Olivia loves to watch mama. It takes mommy hiding to get Livie to look at anyone else. But, Livie saves her smiles for daddy. She will smile for me but she does prefer to save them up for when daddy plays with her.
Livie also loves watching the TV. Hopefully she has good taste like Ella does.
She's been getting better and better about letting mommy get stuff done when we're home. She still loves her snuggles but doesn't freak out every time I put her down. She loves to be propped up so she can look around and loves changing rooms every so often to keep things new and exciting.
Livie's starting to coo more too. Again, she saves her voice for her daddy. I like to think she's just stunned by my beauty and that's why she doesn't smile or talk for me :) Andrew's also been able to get some "giggles" out of her. They're more grunts but still very cute.
Olivia has lost a lot of her hair on top just like her big sister did. She's holding onto the hair on back though. I think she'll remain brunetter though since her peach fuzz is still dark. I guess only time will tell. Her eyes are turning brown too. The only brown eyed family member is Andrew's grandpa so either she's going to be very unique or she'll end up hazel in the end. Either way, she's quite pretty if I say so myself. Her lashes have lengthened and thickened too.
Oh, and in case I didn't already document, Livie lost her umbilical FINALLY! A couple Sundays ago I took Ella to church and Andrew stayed home with Liv. When I came home ANdrew mentioned that her cord was ready to come off. I started fiddling with it and it came off in my hand. After telling Andrew it WAS off. He then said "Oh, well it came off but was all gooey underneath so I put it back." Apparently I didn't have him help with Ella's at all. I then explained that it just needed to be cleaned and was all good. Silly boy. So worried that he broke his baby :)
And just the other day, we had a big first! Livie played in her jump-up for the first time. She didn't do much jumping but loved just hanging there where she could see everything and everyone.
These past two months have been the hardest and most precious of my life. Nothing like having that worry always lingering to remind you to make the most of your day. Our home is rarely tidy. Never dirty but always cluttered. I would rather take care of my girls than clean all the time. I can't believe how strong Olivia is. Already, in her two months she's gone through more than a lot of people do in an entire lifetime. I wouldn't blame her at all for being a grump non-stop but even with the open-heart surgery, cath, feeding tube down her throat, oxygen up her nose, bloody noses from the oxygen, nonstop poking and prodding, and reflux she's so sweet.
