Settling In

Looks like this little trip to PCMC has turned into a weekend getaway.  It's great, really.  World class babysitters, housekeeping, no cooking.  If I just ignore the fact that our room doesn't have a window, or a shower, and that someone always comes a knockin' when I settle down to pump (maybe I should adjust that schedule) it's really not bad.
So, here's what's going on.  A cath lab was scheduled for 3 pm today.  Since it's a surgery and Livie would be put out for it she needed to be food free for 6 hours.  Unfortunately, her NJ feeds hadn't been stopped early enough.  While the cardiology team thought that would be ok since the food was going directly to her intestine, anesthesiology didn't agree because some of that milk could back up into her stomach.  We were hoping for a cath at 6 pm (her feeds were turned off at noon) but that was a no go.  So, we're here for the weekend and a cath on Monday.  There's about a 6 hour recovery after cath so depending on what time her cath is we will hopefully be on our way home sometime Monday.  Of course, we're not planning on anything for certain.
On the bright side, since we are here for the weekend I requested a room change and my wish was graciously granted.  Conveniently, the kid across the hall was released today (lucky!) and we will be moving on over as soon as it's cleaned.  I think it even has a shower.
Livie is comfortable for the most part.  She's sleeping a lot due to the IV placement and the freak-out that occurred during and after.  We've got her favorite new age music channel going on the tv and I will be requesting a mobile for her entertainment once we're moved.  Her O2 has stayed between 3/4 and 1.5 liters for the most part.  She did have a desat last night on a liter that I slept through.  Must've been tired...But other than that she's been pretty consistant.  She's a little grumpier than usual.  Between the poking, tubes, fluorescent lighting and mommy smelling like hospital soap I can't say I blame her.  As always, we're asking for prayers for good cath results and recovery.
