Half Way!

I know, I know. You all are waiting to see what I'm having and that post won't be until tomorrow but I want to keep up with my pregnancy documentation and tomorrow's post will be short, simple, and loaded with ultrasound pictures, I'm sure.

At twenty weeks I'm feeling pretty awesome. I still try to take a nap during the day but the exhaustion no longer takes over my life. Instead of waking up tired I wake up normal. Naturally, after lugging around an extra 9 lbs (as of my Dr. appointment on Tuesday) and chasing around a 2-year-old I get a little sleepy. So I take a nap during Ella's. This then gives me the energy to last for the rest of the day.

The second trimester is by far the best. I think most would agree with me on that but I really love it. When everyone around me was getting pregnant I was feeling so jealous because Andrew and I still hadn't decided if it was time yet. Of course, during the first trimester I lost sight of what I loved about pregnancy and kept thinking "What was I thinking?" And I have it easy compared to some. But we all have those moments I'm sure. Now that I've reached the fun part I'm remembering why I was so jealous. I'm feeling the baby a ton now. Feeling a baby growing inside would have to be on my top 5 favorite things that I've ever experienced. Poor kid. This means, I pick on the it. I'll scrunch up on the couch just so it has less room and will start flailing about. I did learn yesterday that I can no longer lay on my tummy on harder surfaces. I tried coloring with Ella on the floor which baby hated. But to top it off I started getting light-headed. I think my laying on my tummy was pushing my uterus into that vein. So no lying on my back or tummy.

Andrew is loving the second trimester as well. He loves to feel the baby and is also feeling it more and more. He of course is loving a more normal and rested Sarah as well.

Other twenty week updates include less ligament pain (though it's still there.) Less gas. I was super gassy during the first trimester. Not farty. I would just get lots of gas bubbles sitting in my abdomen that would hurt. Less room in my pants. I've started wearing maternity clothes.

And some really good news. By this time in my last pregnancy I couldnt' sleep through the night because I had this muscle in my back that would spaz. It still does if I hunch over one of my craft projects too long or such but I haven't had any problems at night with it. Hallelujah for a new mattress! So I'm sleeping pretty well. I'm having to pee less at night too. YEAH! Baby's moving up!

Tomorrow is the big day we find out who's joining the family so I'll post again soon. Last chance for guessing!
