Baby Update!

Not a whole lot new to report. EXCEPT THE MOST EXCITING PART ABOUT BEING PREGNANT! I've been feeling the babe really well over the past week. It's put Andrew into a funk because he was feeling left out. But no more! Babe decided to give daddy a New Years present and for the first time last night, about 20 minutes before midnight, Andrew felt the baby kick.
When Ella kicked daddy for the first time, he was a little weirded out seeing as we didn't know what we were doing, what to expect etc. This time around, now that the nerves are calm and we know what's going on his reaction was the best. I told him the babe was being a little rambunctious and he might be able to feel it. But he HAD to be patient. Something he's not very good at. He was a little hesitant because if he tried to feel it and didn't he would get a little bummed. I made him try anyway. He gave in and I'd feel a kick and ask him if he felt it and "No." Finally, baby kicked good and hard. I didn't even have to ask before Andrew said "Was that it?" I said yes and Andrew got the biggest smile on his face. Such a sweet moment. Here's hoping that this year is filled with a lot of those. Not a bad way to start out the new year.
