We did our celebrating on the 3rd this year. Since Logan does their fireworks on the 3rd that's when we chose to have our party. Andrew's family joined us and our friends, the Davenports and of course Randi. We roasted hot dogs and just hung out. We were going to make ice cream but never got around to it. So we're just going to have to make some just for us...bummer. We then watched the fireworks. We have an awesome view from our backyard so we didn't have to fight the crowds or anything. Ella loved it. Livie slept through it.
The actual 4th was kind of lame for us. Andrew, Ella, and Livie slept all afternoon. I tried but every time I started dosing off Livie would wimper. When naps were over Ella and I went outside for a little while. Ella rode her bike, we drew with her chalk, and we shared a couple of popsicles. Then for dinner we got really fancy and had jimmy john's.
With Livie being on the oxygen we just didn't attempt anything. It was hard enough taking her out to the backyard with her O2 tank, pulse ox, and feeding pump. Even though we didn't do much, it was a nice holiday. I got to spend it with my three favorite people. That, and how could you not enjoy your day when your baby is all smiles for most of the day.

Sometimes those low key holidays are the best. Ours was very similar- low key!
