It was quite the weekend. Thursday and Friday Livie's sats were slowly sinking. And really slowly. Basically, instead of sitting in the low 80's like they normally did they were in the high to mid 70's. But never in the danger zone. Then, Saturday night her sats were sitting at just below where they like them to be. So they were at 73 or 74. Ideally she should be 75-85. I tried changing her positions, tickling her to make sure she was breathing enough and finally went to put her in bed (since she usually sats higher in her bed.) Once in bed the poor thing dropped to mid 60's. I immediately called PCMC and by the time the on call nurse practitioner called back Livie's sats had dropped to 60. And that was our one way ticket back to primary's. We arrived at the ER around 2 am, x-rayed, and readmitted. Her xray looked fine but she was a little puffy (a bad sign) so they drew some labs. Also, fine. We're pretty sure the puffiness was from her crying during the xray and whole readmission process. We finally got a room around 7 am and Andrew and I were able to catch an hour or so of sleep. Andrew had to work today so he left Sunday evening (and also to relieve our awesome last minute babysitter. Thanks Randi!) Livie was put on oxygen once we got to the hospital and they attempted weaning her off of it yesterday but unfortunately it didn't happen. So, we are now home with a brand new accessory, oxygen. There is a possibility of a minor surgery within the next 2-6 weeks where they will place a stint in the sano shunt that is in her heart. They will just place that using a cath through an artery. I'm hoping her little body just fixes the problem itself. The entire hospital adventure was pretty mellow. Livie did manage to throw up several times. I blame one of the nurses for overfeeding her. She's only supposed to have 1 oz at most or eat for 15 minutes at most. But no...the nurse who was filling for our lunching nurse decided to give her more...and she's on continuous feeds with her NJ tube so naturally, all that food had nowhere to go but up and out. I was pretty peeved and didn't leave for any of my meals for the rest of the stay. So, I will be even more tied down with the NJ, pulse ox, AND oxygen so if you don't see me, that's why. Or if I blog A LOT, that's why. And now, I'm off to shower and put on some clean undies after a looooong weekend.

Ugh, sorry about the visit back at PCMC. At least she's doing better now, hopefully things get better.
It is so hard to have all of those thing attached. Madie was on oxygen fulltime for 2 1/2 months and she didn't go anywhere. One it was RSV season so she was house bound but 2 it was so hard to get her, her tank, all the other baby stuff, and James out the door I was worn out by the time we were ready to go. Best of luck and I hope she does great and is off it soon.
So sorry, but so very happy to see her home!
