And, do I dare say it...So far no mishaps! We're still getting the hang of things but last night went much smoother than our first night home. Not that the first night was bad. It was just a long night of figuring out how the food pump and pulse oximeter worked and then Ella feeling the need to come to bed with mommy. She didn't believe that I would still be home in the morning. But, Ella now believes I'm sticking around and I've got the machines, feeds, and meds all figured out. We're getting into our routine. Luckily Andrew didn't work this weekend so I could get used to things a bit before I'm left all alone with the girls.
For those of you wondering, Ella is loving us being home. She's enjoying having mommy home but especially having Olivia home. She's an excellent big sister. She doesn't love throwing the poopy diapers away (because they're "Ooo yucky poop) but other than that she's very eager to help out. She got a hospital buddy doll from primary's and has been taking care of her while I take care of Livie. Ella has gotten good at using the hand sanitizer before touching Olivia and loves giving her kisses. I was a little worried that Ella would be kinda rough with Livie but she's been very careful with her. It helps that Ella sees her zipper all the time and knows she's still owie. Ella's biggest frustration with the new baby is she's a baby. Ella wants so badly to play with her little sister. She gets a little frustrated when Olivia won't talk to her or, just barely, when she wouldn't sing into the microphone with Ella. Hopefully Ella continues doing well with Livia and hopefully I do too.
Thanks again and again for all the prayers over the past few weeks. We were told that, best case scenario, Olivia would be home 10 days after surgery and worst not til after her second surgery. We were home 11 days after surgery and any bumps on the road to recovery were extremely minor so prayers have definitely been answered. And those aren't the only miracles we've witnessed. I wasn't a total blubbering mess during the whole process! Now, the goal is to make it through the rest of the year in one piece.

Hey, I know I have not been commenting as much, but I have still been reading and keeping up up with everything. I am so excited to hear she is home and doing well, and I do have to agree with you, you make very cute little girls!
