My baby girl is off bypass and doing well! They're working on her bleeding right now but there's not an abnormal amount. The next 24 hours (and especially the next 12) are still crucial but the end of this first ordeal is in sight. Now that I've gotten a handle on the "I've just handed my baby over to some surgeon" nerves I get to deal with the "I'm going to see my baby all swollen and hurting" nerves. Not so fun...
But, for those of you worried, I am eating and drinking and trying to take care of myself. I already got a lecture from the NP telling me I needed to make sure I took care of myself. So I am.

good to hear she is off bypass and doing well and that you are doing pretty well too. I've been checking updates all day and letting people know how awesome Olivia is! We will keep praying for her and the whole family! LOVE YOU GUYS!!! <3

I have been at the dr's office all morning and dying since I didn't have Internet access! Whew! I am SO glad to hear she is off bypass successfully. She has just cleared her big surgery day hurdle! I'm glad you guys had Big Bang Theory to keep your minds off it. That is how we survive surgery days! It will be tough to see her post surgery, but take pictures. They will help you compare each days progress and she will want to see them later. I am glad you are taking care of yourself. We will keep praying through the next critical phase of recovery and hope that she continues to cruise through free of speed bumps!
So happy! What a little miracle she is. I am very glad that you listened to the lecture and took care or yourself. The last thing you want is to pass out from fatigue or hunger once you guys are back up in the CICU and being able to be with your cutie again for the first time. Love you guys!
