Let's start with the girl's reactions to finding out baby is a girl since I finally uploaded them! How cute! I love Ella's look. It's an "Another girl?!" mixed with a "I'm so excited!" sort of look which is exactly how I felt. I think we were all a little surprised, but we're all super excited to meet Abigail.
I am now 27 weeks along. I would say cruising right along, but it's a rough cruise. My reflux is managed, but still rears its ugly head regularly which means most night I feel sick. If I don't have a snack I feel awful. If I do, it starts climbing up the esophagus. It's a vicious battle. I have a few go to snacks that are less awful so I stick with those. And of course, there's the other pregnancy complaints. Sciatica, leg cramps, peeing every ten seconds (or five if Abby decides my bladder needs to be played like the bongos.) And I couldn't be happier. We're nearing the finish line slowly but surely and while I wait I will have holidays to keep me occupied.
At my appointment monday things got real. My dr. started talking about labor and delivery, what to watch for in the third, and all that stuff. That kinda freaked me out. This pregnancy seems to have dragged on for so long that the mention of labor got me thinking of the mile long list of stuff I have to do still! So, I started on moving Ella into Livie's room yesterday since that process will take a while. I have painting to do. Crib, dresser, bedroom! I have a pile of baby stuff in my living room just waiting to be moved into its new room. It's getting overwhelming, but once Abby is here we will be able to hunker down for the rest of the winter. That'll be nice.
The rest of the appointment went great. I had my glucose test and passed! Wahoo! My weight is nice and (very) healthy. I'm right on track to gain a bunch like I did the last two times. Big Sarah is on her way! I've given up on caring about that. As long as I can get my girl here safely, I don't care what I look like. I purposely started buying a size up for shirts when we started trying so I should be set in the clothing department anyway. My blood pressure is great too. It's interesting to see the difference in that. With Liv, my blood pressure steadily rose towards the end from the stress. It was never scary high but my normal is like 100/60 so high for me was 120/80 or whatever. This time it's staying in my normal range. Nice to know that the stress I am feeling about my to do list isn't affecting my health.
As for Ella and Livie, they're super excited about the changes coming. They give my belly hugs and kisses frequently. To the point I have to ground them from my belly from time to time. Olivia prefers to call her Abigail over Abby and it's adorable. Ella sticks with Abby. They love looking at the baby girl clothes everytime we go to town. Not that we need anything, but we have picked up a few new outfits...It's just all too cute!
