Beautiful Black

This morning at 4am vitals Livie was drenched! Her diaper was saturated, her bed was saturated, her pajamas, pillows, and blankets were saturated in glorious pee! So an hour later when we headed down to X-ray I was not surprised, but extremely happy, to see the beautiful, crisp black lines of Livie's lungs.

The x-ray on the left is today. The right, yesterday. The effusion is gone! No chest tube required! This means a mobile girl. A happy girl. A girl who eats. And no pain killers. Naturally, this means a happy mommy too.
The plan for now is to keep on top of the diuretics. We will start to decrease her dose slowly, very slowly, in hopes of not coming back for this again. They have told us to plan on sticking around through the weekend. Still, no clear estimate on when we'll get home which is kind of a bummer, but nothing we aren't already used to.
Livie's labs have been good so they have decided she no longer needs to be the human pin cushion. For those who are confused, Livie has been getting labs drawn EVERY. SINGLE. MORNING. This means at least one needle every morning, but as of late it's required at least two pokes. Tomorrow morning she'll get her xray and then we can go back to a blissful sleep. I'm really excited about her not getting labs drawn every morning. Livie's veins are shot and each day it's harder to get a draw.
Today we're just going to play and relax and catch up on some sleep...at least as much as we can while we're here...wish us luck!
