Busy, Busy, Busy

I haven't blogged anything about Andrew and I for a while so here's a quick update.
For those who knew about the house-hunt and offers but not anything else, it's all fallen through.  We're still looking but we're leaning more and more towards building which wouldn't happen 'til next year.  It's been a frustrating experience but we're not heart-broken or anything.  It's just a trial of faith and remembering that we'll end up where we're supposed to eventually.  The Lord's timeline rarely synch's up with mine.  And that's ok.
A few things that have helped with the failed house-hunt have been our ward.  We've had a hard time adjusting to it.  We switched into the family ward from the student ward right after Olivia was born.  Of course, that meant we were rarely at our ward.  We were always down in Salt Lake and so didn't know anyone.  We also didn't have callings because of our situation and never attended ward events.  We just didn't feel like this was the place for us.  Things have gotten better and we're finally starting find out little niche.  I've not been such a loser of a visiting teacher and finally got a calling.  I am now a young women's advisor.  I'm super excited and a little nervous.  Our wards young women's is extremely small consisting of 5 girls on a good day (all taught in one class though ages range from beehive to laurel)  There are more but many are inactive or only come once in a while.  I pray for missionary experiences from time to time so I guess this could be my prayers being answered.  Andrew hasn't received a calling yet other than home teaching but he's still starting to make friends.
I have been extremely busy lately preparing for my best friend's wedding.  I was her matron of honor which meant a bachelorette party and making my own dress because finding a modest one in the right color is IMPOSSIBLE!  That, Island Park, and preparing for Ella's birthday party have kept my September packed.  I'm looking forward to a more relaxed October.  I have Ella's party this weekend and I'm throwing a Halloween party plus making costumes for those of us that need them.  Maybe I'll get to relax in November.
Andrew has been busy with work and keeping me sane.  He's been loving all the summer flicks coming out on video.  I'm glad he likes to rent first.  I know what he's getting for christmas!  He's also been busy preparing the yard for winter.  We still have tomatoes and peppers on so he's only been working on part of the garden but has been cleaning up porches, putting tools away, and has assigned the girls and I to clean up the walnuts in the front yard.  Can I just say, I love how handy and motivated Andrew is.  Sometimes I get frustrated at how "lazy" he can be and then I remember that he's really only lazy with housework so I shouldn't complain haha.  I never have to mow the lawn, shovel snow, rake the leaves, and all the other yard work that he does.  He's a good egg.  I should mention that if I ask he will gladly help with the housework.
Andrew's work has continued to be busy for which we are very grateful.  I don't love the occasional late nights but I do love being secure.  Andrew's work gets him a lot of connections and information so if/when we do build we'll be educated and be able to do things cheaper.  He recently worked on a house in the same neighborhood we're hoping to build in and was able to find out about fees, schools, and other such stuff.  He's definitely hoping to build and I'm just going with the flow.
Andrew also enjoyed his bow hunt this year.  He didn't get anything but as always, liked getting out and enjoying nature.
And that's about it for us.  We're not very exciting but we're happy and that's all that matters.
