I'd have to say that Thanksgiving as just us four was pretty darn awesome. I did miss family but it was pretty nice not having to worry about a strict schedule. There's a chance that we may do this every year, even after Olivia's older and stronger and no longer requires lock down.
Andrew thought I was rather silly this year. For one, I made four pies for a family of four. Of course, now that it's not even a week later and the pie is mostly gone he's realizing that mama knows best.
Two, even though we stayed home all day, us girls still got all dolled up. But after seeing Ella so incredibly excited about her curly hair (we did rag curlers the day before) he realized it was totally worth it.
The day was your typical Thanksgiving day. Cooking, Macy's parade, Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, relaxing, eating 'til you can't eat anymore. We also added in a walk after we'd had a bit of time to digest. The walk helped make room for pie.
Though my family had never done the "I'm thankful for..." thing around the table (that I recall) we added that this year. Daddy said he was thankful for all his girls. Mommy said about the same thing with daddy added in there. And Ella said she was thankful for Jesus and Heavenly Father.
Livie sat with us at the table for the first time. It didn't last long before she tried eating the table cloth and getting mad. She even got sweet potatoes for her dinner. At least a couple spoonfuls.
Ella was so excited about watching the parade. Every commercial break she'd start crying (she's been very emotional lately) thinking it was over. She was so excited to see Santa.

I'm proud of you. You have done so well with the tough hand you were delt with. I'm thankful for my children and grandchildren. That's what I live for.
