23 Months!

This is so weird to me! I'm planning a birthday party for my two year old. When Ella was first born a mission friend of Andrew's sent us a message via facebook that said (basically) "Treasure each moment. It goes by so fast." How true. Time has never flown quite as quickly as it does with a little one. I've tried to treasure each moment but have found that I do indeed forget things that I never thought I would. Thank heavens for my detailed blogging right? So, on that note, here is another detailed blog about my little girl.

Ella amazes me every day. She talks non-stop and it's getting more understandable each day. For that, I am grateful. We were going through a rather rough patch in which the two of us had very little patience for one another because I didn't understand what she wanted. Well, that is no longer a problem! Wahoo! Ella has gotten very good at asking, "Help, please?" "Milk Please?" Though most often it's actually "Chocky milk, please?" The girl is her parents daughter. When asking for chocky milk she usually adds an "I lub you!" You know how Puss 'n Boots gets that wide eyed look in Shrek and everyone melts? Yeah, she adds that in too. I dont' know how she figured that one out but she does it whenever she wants something she knows she's not likely to get.

Another phrase we hear quite often is "Yucky bug!" She absolutely HATES bugs! It just goes to show they are born with their own personality because I purposely acted super excited when we saw bugs. I didn't want a little girl who was scared of EVERYTHING. Well, it didn't work. She won't even touch a couple of those plastic halloween spiders. We kiss them and say "Nice bug" but still she freaks out. Oh well.

A few more of her favorite things to say are "Silly (insert whoever she's talking to)" and "Stinky (insert)"

Ella has always loved "talking" on the phone. Now we can actually tell who she's "talking" too and what she's telling them. She's usually talking to her Uncle Mike or gramma. The conversations usually are about yucky bugs, poopy diapers, or silly mommy.

Funny story: One day I had just finished mowing the lawn so needless to say, I didn't smell very good. I said "Mommy needs to shower. She stinks" Ella then looks at my bum and says "Poopy mommy?" Now she thinks it's funny to periodically ask me if I'm poopy.

I love this little girls personality. I wish you all could spend a good amount of time with her because as much as I try this just doesn't do her any justice. 23 months...wow...
