4 years and counting! Andrew and I take turns planning out anniversary celebration. I don't think it's very fair to leave it to the man EVERY year, unless that's what he likes of course. Andrew does not like that. It's a lot of pressure on his unromantic self. So, we take turns and this year was his year. We originally were going to fly out to PA to see my sister and take a day trip to NY on our anniversary but alas, car troubles ate up the money for one of our plane tickets. I was super bummed about it, especially since my one other big vacation got cancelled. Guess how many vacations I've been on this summer. I big fat 0! Lame! But that's besides the point! Since our PA trip was cancelled I was a little worried about what would happen on our anniversary. Andrew BOMBED mother's day so I was figuring he'd probably do the same for our anniversary. But the man came through!
On July 30 Andrew and I were heading to a family reunion. He told me to change the input on the radio. I'm thinking "Great he's gone off and gotten himself and ipod without telling me." But then he told me to switch it once more and once I switched it to CD I about died. He had bought the Plain White T's cd and had set it up so it was playing Rythm of Love, my new favorite song. Andrew doesn't do cute stuff like that. He is a manly man who likes action movies with bad acting. He then explained he was going to do a few things for me for next little while until our anniversary. I have dubbed it the "12 days of Anniversary" give or take a few days. Over the next couple of weeks I got new shoes, a trip to lagoon without the babe, back rubs, foot rubs, a break from dishes, a break from dinner making, the remote (and he doesn't like giving that up EVER!) and I even got to watch Sense and Sensibility. He didn't watch it with me but that would be asking a lot of him. He just doesn't do unfunny chick flicks.
Then the day of our anniversary arrived! He started the day with work. Wahoo...After work he took me to Texas Roadhouse. That was a lot of fun seeing as we'd never been. Andrew now has a new love. I have a feeling he'll always tell them it's our first time there because we got free ribs. Dinner was awesome. Even if we were eating with all the oldies. We ate at five and I will tell you why shortly.
After dinner we went mini golf. One of mine and Andrews favorite things to do on a date. It's cheap, and even though I suck, it's fun. Well due to Andrews extreme talent at flooring we got in free. He did a job for a lady who owns a place here in logan. It's...what did her daughter say...a dive. It is pretty run down but it was still lots of fun. And free which is always nice. Especially because of what we did next!!!! Andrew had scheduled...massages!!! From a professional and everything!!! Mmmmm it was sooooo nice. My massage therapist was really good. Even though we were only scheduled for swedish massages she still worked on my knots (without hurting me) I highly recommend massages to everyone. And the whole naked bit isn't even awkward. Of course they tell you dress down to your comfort level. When Andrew and I got out we both looked like we had fallen asleep though neither one of us had. So as you see, we ate super early so while we were getting out massages they didn't rub our dinner right out of us. This put us home around nine and we spent the rest of the night doing what we love. Relaxing on the couch together, eating brownies, watching Who's Line is it Anyway, and enjoying each others company. It was the perfect anniversary. A perfect mix of old loves (brownies, who's line) and new loves (massages, texas roadhouse, and of course each other)

So here's to August 11, 2007 and to the best 4 years of my life. I've learned, loved, and had more fun than I thought was possible. Thank you, Andrew, for choosing me to share your life with.

Happy Day! Man, I'd love a massage. Never had one. We LOVE Texas Roadhouse. Its a bit expensive to go often, but I think that keeps it a novelty. Glad you guys had such a nice day (and week!)
Oh happy late Anniversary! That is so fun! I love the CD thing, that is so super cute. I love that you switch off plans, ha ha Ben and I use to plan stuff but our last 3 anniversary's he has been deployed somewhere, so I don't know what we will do anymore lol. But your day sounded so fun and so cute! I love seeing the wedding pictures, I don't think they ever get old! Congrats to both of you though!!!
