22

Another month come and gone and my little girl is still growing in leaps and bounds. Shoes I bought her just three months ago are getting too small already. She can reach up and around the doorknobs (she can't turn the knob all the way yet thank heavens) she can climb onto anything which means she has discovered some of her birthday presents in my closet. She can almost climb into the tub by herself. She's just getting so big!
Though big, she still can hide in small places. And she loves to. She has a few regular spots. One being wedged in my closet between the door and some shelves I have in there. Another being between the bookshelf and the wall. She hides when it's time for diaper changes or jammies. Not because she doesn't want to. Because she wants to play.
Ella has been experimenting with throwing fits again. It seems to be a cycle we go through. I have a feeling it's whenever she's going through a growth spurt and feeling those growing pains because it usually lasts for a few days and then she's back to being her sweet self. Hopefully we only have a few days left.
Other than the occasional fit she still amazes me everyday how sweet she is. We've been teaching her to say sorry and give hugs when she's mean and now she does it without us even telling her to. She knows when she's been naughty and is so good about giving mommy and daddy hugs and saying "sawy" She still loves kissing owies better and finds imagined owies to kiss. If mommy or daddy scratch and itch she's there to kiss it better.
Ella is SUCH a girl. She loves dressing up in my clothes. The other day we watched Wizard of Oz and she had to put on her halloween dorothy costume. She wouldn't take it off for the rest of the day. She loves brushing mommy's hair, taking care of her baby dolls, putting on makeup, and all sorts of other girly things. We went to Andrew's uncles the other night to visit and they pulled out the Barbies. The girl went nuts! Between that and their fake groceries she was in playtime heaven. Which is very exciting for me because I went Birthday shopping a week ago and got her a Belle barbie, fake groceries and some books. I can't wait to see her open all her presents!
Ella is getting quite good with her manners too. On top of saying bless you when someone sneezes she says "scuse you" when she or anyone else burps. Always scuse you. She's also started adding our responses to her sayings. When she says please it's now "Pease ok." Because I say ok after usually. Then thankyou is "Taeto welcome."
Fun story. On the 25th we had some friends over to roast hot dogs and smores. We taught her to say marshmallow and it comes out "Marshall" For those of you who dont' know, I like to plan ahead so we have a potential name list for all our children. Marshall is my favorite boy name so...IT'S A SIGN! We must be having a boy next. And no, I'm not pregnant. I'm just excited to be.
My current favorite thing she does is making faces. We tell her to make faces and she will mimic all the ones you make and more. It's so funny. She adorable!
I don't have any pictures right now so you'll just have to wait.
