7, 8, and 9 months

Last time I tried blogging it was being super funky and wouldn't let me publish. Then, by the time I got to writing Abby's entry, it wouldn't even let me start a new one. So, hold on to your hats, because it's been a big couple of months around here.
In Abby's seventh month she gained two teeth, started sitting, and started scooching a ton.
In her eighth month Abby discovered her voice big time and now uses it all the time. She started jabbering a ton. She began with "dadada" which was a little sad for mama, but she quickly picked up on that too. I really think this girl is gunna be a big talker since now, at nine months she does "da" "ma" "ya" "sha" and more.
With Abby's scooching, we discovered that there are certain items she prefers to go for. Cords are her number one. She loves them. Not ideal that her favorite thing to play with is also a choking hazard, but what can ya do? At least I'm always with her. Abby also loves hair brushes, flip flops, and anything noisy. She'll be keeping us on our toes.
In Abby's ninth month, she exploded! Development-wise. Abby finally stopped planking and started crawling. Which means she started sitting herself up. Which means she started pulling herself up to standing (this one is still shaky, and not very common, thank heavens!)
Her personality and likes have become even more apparent this last month as well. Mommy is her favorite and cries whenever I walk away. So much for peeing in peace...She still loves her big sisters, but she's particularly fond of Livie. Livie can get Abby doing those delicious belly laughs better than any of us. We're all a little jealous.
Abby loves music and is starting to dance a bit. It's pretty simple bobbing, but it's still adorable. Also, when we turn on music she is starting to clap! One of my most favorite things is clapping babies! She's still a little clumsy about it, which makes it all the more adorable. If she's not clapping with her hands, she tap on her belly too. So cute!
Abby used to sit with us during dinner in a little basinet/rocker thingy we had. But, she had started sitting up in it and rolling around in it. Not safe...So we got her booster up to the table and she is so in love! She has loved eating dinner with us. Most of the time she still gets baby food but if we're having pasta or some sort of soft something she gets some. We let her feed herself and in the few weeks since her fine motor skills have improved a ton. She loves cheerios, puffs, and yogurt bites. There's not much she hasnt enjoyed. She still nurses regularly too.
Now, for the sad stuff...Abby has been working on her top front teeth for weeks now. Combine that misery with an awareness of mommy leaving the room and it makes for a girl that no longer sleeps through the night. If I head in and give her her binky, she just screams once I'm out of sight until I feed her. Daddy is heading to Alaska on Saturday so while he's gone we'll do some sleep training so as not to disturb his sleep. Wish us luck!
Abby is such a doll. She is becoming a handful (she's already taken a dive down the stairs. Only made it down a couple before I caught her.) But, she's all smiles and giggles. She really is such a happy girl. Even if she is the worst napper (she won't sleep more than an hour at naps.) She has brought such an amazing dynamic to our family and we all love her.
