Oi! My babiest baby girl. Why must they grow so quickly? And since I missed a month, there's lots to catch up on.
Let's start with Abby's growth. She is certainly my smallest girl. At her last appointment a week ago, she was 14 lbs 8 oz and 24.5 inches. This is different for us, for sure. Our Ella girl and Livie girl were both 90th percentile babies. They had rolls on rolls and were deliciously fat. Abby just isn't. Instead of rolls on rolls, she just had rolls. Her little cheekies are still deliciously chubby and it wonderful. A little odd having an average sized baby, but it's pretty cool watching her fit in clothes for her age.
Abby's development! At 7 weeks Abs rolled from her front to back for the first time. She did it twice one night, once the next morning....and then not again until this past week. This means there was a two month break haha But, as her doctor said, we knew she could so there was no need to worry. Silly girl. Abs has also become much more interactive over the past little while. She is grabbing at her toys (her favorites are the crinkly kinds.) She loves munching on her hands, she's working on getting her feet up there to munch on them, and she makes some pretty epic drool bombs.
Abby is still my mellow baby, though she has managed to discover her cry. Because she is more interactive, she gets pretty grumpy when she's bored. Easy solution: sit her on the ground with her toys and she plays until she's tired. Then she might get grumpy until you lay her down in bed, IF she doesn't just fall asleep. And of course, she gets hungry and will let you know. But, my sweet girl still sleeps like a champ. She was sleeping 9-11 hour chunks at around 2 months. But she then reached her 3 month growth spurt and that messed things up a bit. She still managed to do 4-5 hours chunks but I was a little sleepy. She did that for about a month but last night she slept for twelve hours and it was glorious! I only hope it lasts.
In other big Abby news, she was blessed on February 5. I made her dress and it turned out pretty well. The parts that weren't great were in the back and since she doesn't sit up yet, it was perfect. She definitely made the dress look good. With a face like that, she could make a burlap sack dress adorable!

3 and 4 Mo.
She doesn't fit in this anymore. Sad.
Her blessing day wore her out. But at least she got to snuggle with aunt Ally.
