Someone turned 2!

Terrible two's anyone?

Trying to figure out how to use her fingers to say two.

She LOVED her heavy hangover!  After each present she'd say "heavy?  Happy birthday?"

Of course she took her sweet time opening.  Teeny tiny pieces.

We got a little creative.  We knew we'd be having cake for her party with grandparents and such so we had banana bread instead.  She LOVED it.
Olivia loved having both her parties.  She loved every present except the clothes.  Those were boring.

Probably her most favorite present of all time.  We now take any one of her babies for a walk most days.

One of my most favorite pictures of all time.  Three of my most favorite people of all time.

Bobby had fun with the kids toys too.

Not too shabby for a freehand Pooh Bear

Ella absolutely loves her cousin Hy.  We do too.

You know it's been a successful party when the toddlers require a bath when it's over.

Can I just say, Andrew and I have the most amazing families ever?  It was a blast having everyone over and we were thrilled that the Johnson's felt up to making the trip with their sweet two week old.  I only wish they lived closer :(
So, my dear Olivia is two.  And wants everyone to know it.  If she's not telling them she's showing them by screaming "No!" or some other sort of terrible two type thing.  Good thing her "No"s are the cutest thing ever.
At Liv's well-child we did talk about speech therapy and the decision made was to wait.  She's not so far behind that we need to start and Dr. Firth is confident that one of these days she'll just take off.  We have been working with her more by leading her through sentences and trying to get her to speak rather than screaming and it is working.  Slowly but it is.  She's doing well with phrases said often like "here go" "I yo know" (I don't know) "pee pease" (pretty please) "mon!" (come on)
Livie's favorites include: Wallace and Grommitt, Mickey, Minnie, lasagna, alfredo, icecream, popsicles (she stands next to our outside freezer and cries for one regularly whether we have them or not) She also loves baths, playing outside, riding her tricycle, something that caused a lot of frustration at first but after growing a bit she can reach the pedals and is perfecting the art of pedaling and steering at the same time.  Livie loves pretending.  She loves tea parties, helping mommy clean, and most especially playing pretend animals.  She loves "me-owing" and being pet but more than anything else she loves crawling around on all fours, panting like a dog, complete with tongue hanging out and barking.  And if you're not careful she will give you doggy kisses...
Olivia is still my little stinker.  She still tries to color on everything.  She still likes to hit, kick, push Ella away from me.  She still likes to find the sharpest object in my kitchen and run around with it.  She likes sneaking into my bathroom while I'm in the shower and stealing my eyeliner and drawing all over herself.  She loves eating sand.  She loves demanding that I hold her every second of every day.  She loves flipping off the furniture, jumping on the furniture, climbing, and doing just about anything to prove to me that she is invincible.
I'm exhausted.  And perfectly happy.  My baby is two!
