So sorry to my loyal fans who have been waiting for Ella's monthly post. This cold/flu/ear infection has knocked me on my butt. I start feeling better, push myself too hard, stress, and relapse. Andrew finally picked me up some cold/flu medicine so I'm feeling better and being smart about it and NOT going for a 1 mile walk or cleaning the house. Of course this means I am currently hopped up on dayquil and I can't guarantee I'm going to be completely sane. But Ella's not completely sane so it all works out.
This month I was smart enough to write down Ella's quirky awesomeness! Yay! So let's jump right in.
For St. Patties Day I painted my fingernails green. Just for fun ya know? Ella loved them but not for the reason you'd expect. It would seem that Miss Ella has jumped on the trendy train and as new love for zombies. So when she saw green fingernails on mommy she exclaimed, "I like your fingernails mommy! They're green like a zombies!"
Daddy's been working a lot lately and because this creates some sad feelings for the girls I've been taking them on dates. A little while ago we to A&W for lunch and I ordered onion rings. When I asked Ella if she wanted one, her response was, "I don't like onion rings. Just Lord of the Rings."
Ella's bossiness is still alive and well and she loves playing mommy. I get to be the kid a lot and apparently some of my own parenting skills are wearing off on her. I started to fake cry one particular day and she starts scolding me saying, "I'll take your animals away if you don't stop pouting!"
Ella often gets to go through the pharmacy drive through and has noticed a few signs they have on their window. "Look mom! No bugs allowed!" I was super confused and didn't know what she was talking about. So she started describing what she was seeing. Turns out she thinks the 'no smoking' sign is a 'no bugs allowed' sign. I had a lengthy giggle over that.
And the last of her silly. The other day as we drove around Ella asked to open windows to "let spring in the car" and later that day on a walk Ella said, "I'm getting spring on me!"
Ella has been such a good girl lately. She's super bossy which can get her in trouble from time to time but it would seem that we have finally gotten through the tantrum stage. Ella is so helpful around the house and while she fights doing her chores eventually does them with a smile. She's such an animated little girl and one of my favorite things in the world is to just watch her talk.
