Ella is at that age. It's all about bums and poop. And she thinks it's hilarious. And I don't. So we're working on it. She's slowly improving. We'll get there...
On the bright side, Ella is improving a lot in the tantrum area. She spends plenty of time in time out but does so without throwing a fit. Yay! She's been trying the fake crying lately but is realizing that doesn't work either so that's dying out fairly quickly.
Ella is my little musical buddy. She is usually singing and the things she sings make me super proud. While some children sing "Eensy Weensy Spider" mine is humming the movie score to Hook, Pirates of the Caribbean, or Star Wars. If I turn on my pandora station that plays movie stuff she can name most of them within the first few seconds of the song. Now don't get me wrong, Ella knows her primary songs and twinkle twinkle and on and on but she loves her movie scores. And I love her for it! She really is turning into a mini-me.
Mini-me also has gone from loving Toy Story (watching multiple times a day) to loving every movie we own (that she's allowed to watch.) She does have her favorites but one of her favorite games is to let mommy pick a surprise movie and she's thrilled with whatever she gets.
Ella picks up everything! A while back (I found some stuff in my phone that I wanted to put on here and never did) Andrew and I had been watching Dr. Who (nerd alert!) We would watch after Ella had gone to bed but apparently she was awake or we need to start playing foreign language tapes to her in her sleep because pretty soon we heard her going around saying "Delete, delete, delete" in a cyperman voice. She also started calling her baby doll Sam shortly after we started watching Supernatural. She also wants to name a baby brother Sam. No, I am not pregnant but she thinks I should be.
Ella loves dancing. I need to get her in a class but until then we dance to our happy songs. In case I didn't mention in previous posts, Ella's favorite song is Sugar, Sugar. She has also told me that she likes all of mommy's music. Yay!
Ella's starting to eat better too! Another Yay! I'm definitely done with this toddler appetite stuff (just in time for Livie to get there) But Ella is eating dinner like a champ now and has a new favorite. Grilled Cheese! She also loves quesadillas. Basically cheese.
Ella is such a big help too. She's getting more and more independent which is such a help to me. Though it breaks my heart too that she's growing up so fast. But she still loves snuggles so it's all good. Ella loves making her own PB & J's and picking her own clothes. She loves playing the computer, including getting onto PBSkids or DisneyJr all by herself. She's learning her letter a lot better since I've started letting her find her games websites by herself. So we play on the computer a lot typing names and learning letters. I guess I finally found what excites her enough to learn.

Potty Humor
She's obsessed with playing in the snow.
And being silly.
A puppet show for mommy. The box was her stage.
Aunt Randi didn't help with the obsession. Great Christmas present though. Even mommy loves playing with it.
And Ella still absolutely adores her little sister.
