November is getting away from me! Well, almost a week late, here is Ella's monthly update.
We had a very big October, as previous posts have mentioned. Aside from the celebrating, Ella has had a big month in other aspects. The biggest being working on our emotional outbursts. Ella is definitely her mothers daughter and doesn't always know what to do with what's going on inside her. So we've had some pretty awesome meltdowns in the past. This last month we spent a lot of time talking through emotions, explaining the best way to express them, talking about the polite ways to avoid them, and especially letting mommy finish her sentence before going into a rage. I am proud to say, it is working! Ella does need to be reminded from time to time that she needs to calm down, slow down, be patient etc. but she is turning into this remarkably helpful and sweet girl. Well, she's always been helpful and sweet, but it's a little different now. Not sure how to explain it. Basically, she's turning into a little woman.
Ella is a talker. Oh my word, she never stops. I love the conversations we have. Lately, naturally, they're all centered around Christmas. If this girl gets everything she wants for Christmas, we'll be broke. Ella still says very silly things but for the most part her way of thinking is becoming more and more grown up. It's a little heart breaking. And amazing.
Even though Ella is thinking more grown up, she still has a few funnies from time to time. I've been bad about writing them down this month so I only have two. The first being how excited she is to get married. In case you were wondering how excited she is, she's very excited. She spent a good five minutes one morning telling me how excited she was. When I asked her who she was going to marry, she said herself. That ought to be an interesting wedding.
She also spends too much time with her mother. She was being a little crazy at dinner one evening and I told her so. Her response, "I'm being crazy like a woman!" We had a good five minute laugh over that. The woman she knows best is definitely crazy.
Ella is just getting so grown up. She's going to be a spectacular little woman.

Oh My Word
Best smile ever!
Sitting next to her "Red Frankenstein"
My little blonde haired, blue-eyed, beauty.
She got ahold of my camera again. Love this girl.
I let her wear mascara for Halloween. Yes, those are her real lashes.
