Psyche! Surgery is cancelled! Dr. Gruber, our surgeon, apparently is very busy today and tomorrow so they have postponed Livie Babe til Saturday or Sunday. Not complaining because that means more snuggling time for me before she's unholdable for who knows how long. Plus, that gives us more time to pray for a good surgery and steady surgeon hands.
First bottle. She drank 5 cc's before getting tired but we were able to get her take all 6 after a little coaxing.
When she actually opens her eyes we can see they're a dark blue.
Finally taking the binky!!! She tries to suck on that huge white IV in her hand so we can get her to take a binky now when she goes for that.
Her cute name tag made by one of the nurses/aids/whoever. I've met so many people in the past couple days I can't keep any of them straight.
She found that sucking on her fingers is quite soothing too.
Adorable little feet.
You can kinda see her dimple on her right cheek. She's got them on both sides but her right dimple is deeper.
Olivia is still our little superwoman. She is doing so awesome. The only "problem" she has had was one of the IV's in her belly was in a little too far according to xrays this morning. So the nurse just had to moisten her umbilical and then pull it out a bit. Olivia didn't love that but she found her fingers to suck on and after a little whimpering she settled right down. I actually helped change her diaper today (who knew I'd every be excited about doing that?) I also got to lotion her a bit and make her smell all baby fresh. She has been tugging on her cords a bit so we socked her hands. I also got to see her sneeze last night (the things you take advantage of when you have a healthy baby are so much more exciting when you don't) and we got a picture of her yawning as you can see. Love those yawning pictures.
And I am still recovering well. I actually walked over to PCMC today rather than having Andrew wheel me over. Pumping is probably the most unpleasant part of this whole journey so far. But, I am hoping that since she gets to take a bottle now I will only have to pump for a short while and will actually get to nurse once she starts doing well with her feeding after surgery and such.
We're so grateful for how smoothly things have gone so far. She's just a perfect little sweetie. I'm really hating not being able to take her home with me at night and singing her lullabies last night was pretty hard. But I have to keep reminding myself that even though she looks perfectly fine, she's in better hand with the nurses and Dr's than if she were with me.

I love her chubby little cheeks!! I don't know how you do anything but kiss them all day! Sorry for the surgery postponement. We are praying for her every day and I am always checking in for updates. Sounds like she is doing WONDERFULLY!!!!
Yay for more snuggle time!
It is crazy with all the different people you meet while you're there. Be sure to write them all down so you can have a record of who cared for you and your little Livie. You will appreciate it in the future.
And I totally know what you mean with all the little things that they do that makes you just want to jump up and down because they are acting "normal!"
Snuggle that cutie for me and you be sure to take it easy!
She is really a very cute babe, and I am so happy you are able to be with her during the day and get the pictures you able to get. The yawning picture is very cute! I love her eyes! And that is great news that the surgery has been delayed a bit, that means she is healthy enough for a delay yay!! :) We will keep praying so for everything is going so good and I am so happy to hear it! Keep hanging in there, I know this has to be the hardest thing you have ever done but your doing great! :)
