I went in for the first of my weekly appointments today. We did a non stress test or NST and it went great. The test is meant to check for fluctuations in heart rate. They monitored Olivia for 20 minutes (at the very least) to make sure that her heart rate increased at least twice within those 20 minutes. It kind of sucked that it had to be at least twenty minutes because her little heart line on the monitor spiked three times during the first five minutes, which is excellent. But alas, they needed a full 20 minutes so I wasn't able to get out of there extra fast. Ah well. The results showed that her heart is doing as good as it can be so I'm happy.
Other than experiencing my first NST the appointment was mostly uneventful...Except we scheduled her arrival! So mark your birthday calendars because Olivia will be here May 29th. We'll check into the hospital around 7:30 or 8 am (haven't gotten the call with the exact time yet) and so hopefully she'll be here sometime in the afternoon or early evening. Since I was induced with Ella I don't expect that it'll take much longer than that. I guess we'll see though.
As scary as her arrival is, we're so excited to meet this little girl and get to know her a little better. I can't wait to see Andrew hold her for the first time. She really seems to love her daddy already. Everytime he talks to her or puts his hand on my belly she just goes nuts.
I've really been enjoying this pregancy. I'm still not too terribly uncomfortable. She's definitely getting large and next time I need to clip my toenails I will be paying someone to do it (because I deserve to be pampered as well as I can't reach very well.) Olivia moves a ton even when Andrew isn't giving her lots of love. I love all her kicks and moves. She's gotten more active over the past little while as well. Occasionally her kicks are painful but still not too bad. I mentioned in my last post that I've started swelling a bit. Well, I got cankles for the first time last night. Yesterday was just so blasted hot and I didn't do as good a job as I thought I was doing with staying hydrated. But on a happy note, I shaved my legs and didn't have to worry about knicking my ankles...since I didn't have any at the time. But the swelling has gone down today and I've been trying to drink extra now that the weather is hot to stay.
Again, thanks for all your prayers on Olivia's behalf. We wouldn't be as sane as we are now without that extra help.

Oh my goodness I am so excited for her to come here also! I can't wait to see her pictures! Everything is going to go great! ha ha I love the shaving with canekles ha ha that is to funny! That is super great you have enjoyed the pregnancy, I struggle with prgnancy really bad. Those tests do sound annoying to sit there for 20 min. I only hope you have help with Ella during that time.
