Slacker!

I recently realized I haven't done my monthly post on either girl for the past couple months. Woops. Sorry. So, I will get you caught up as best I can. Deep breath. Here we go.
Ella: Goose is doing fantastic. She's growing, learning, playing, and being a completely normal kid. She loves preschool, but is more than ready to graduate and head to kindergarten. She asks me regularly if she will get to go to kindergarten after she learns the letter Z in preschool. She's really struggling with the idea of getting months off for summer break. I told her we'd buy her some special homework books and now she is okay with the break. We got Ella registered for Kindergarten this last week so hopefully the promise of those books is enough to keep the excitement under control.
Ella is loving the nice weather. Her and her little girlfriends Jaidyn, Haven, Dylan, and Clara have started a "Rock Club" where they collect pretty rocks. They spend hours in the field behind our house playing in the dirt, digging for their treasures. When they aren't digging, they can be found zipping around the neighborhood on their scooters/bikes. I love watching the girls playing in the field and having fun. I love knowing that Ella will be able to look back at her childhood and have such good memories.
Ella is still my little movie buff. I introduced her to Sound of Music this past week and she was super excited to discover Mary Poppins' other nannying role. She definitely leans towards the dark and spooky and loves monster based anything.
We have recently started reading chapter books with Ella and, naturally, we started with Ella Enchanted. She loves picking out her name on each page. Even if she's not picking up on everything that happens we're having fun with it.
Ella has recently planned out halloween costumes. She will be Maleficent, Livie will be Aurora, Daddy will be the Prince, and mommy the crow. After Ella spent a 45 minute car ride deciding this she exclaimed "Phew! I finally figured that all out." She was running out of time with only nine months left!
Ella is still my little comedian as well. She makes me laugh daily. Mostly with her reactions to things. That girl really knows how to pull the perfect face at the perfect moment. She loves making me laugh and does it frequently.
Olivia: Olivia's speech has gotten SO GOOD! And to think I was worried about having to do speech therapy once upon a time. She will start conversations now rather than just responding to ours or asking for something.
Olivia keeps daddy in line. If Andrew burps or farts he ALWAYS blames one of us. Livie repsonds quickly with, "No, daddy. You tooted!" or "No, excuse YOU daddy."
Liv is sassy as ever and doesn't let anyone tell her what to do. Needless to say, there's a lot of screaming in our house since mommy does tell her what to do. But she is improving a lot and mommy's temper is being activated less and less. Or maybe my patience is just getting greater. Who knows?
Some of Olivia's favorite things include: Winnie the Pooh, Mickey Mouse, Pinocchio, children's songs, singing and listening, barbies, riding her bike, playing in the sandbox, reading, snuggling, and any food.
Quick story on the singing. There's a chair in Liv's room where we read and sing before bed. Livie, in all her independence, would tell me, "Shhh, by myself" when singing so she would sing to me. Well, that started this whole thing where the girls would sing to Andrew and me before they went to bed. So now, Livie will stand in front of the chair which she calls her "stage" and sing to me. I need to get a video because it is adorable.

I'm sure I'm missing a ton of stuff but it has been a crazy last few months for us. This'll just have to do.
