Ella Jane has the best sense of humor. I would like to say she gets it from me. And maybe she does and that's why I find her so funny?
A week or so ago my darling girl was chilling with me while I worked on a top secret project. Sorry, only a select few are privy to my secret. Anyway, Ella was sitting there coloring. I was sitting there working. All the sudden she says, "Mommy? Do you want to hear the most beautiful sound in the world?" Of course I think she's going to start singing something beautifully and melt my heart. Instead she lets out a nice, loud "Moooooooo!" I about peed my pants laughing. It's not like she actually finds mooing to be beautiful. She was just being funny. Love her.
Ella has been quite busy over the past little while. Playing with cousins, swimming, enjoying summer. And the best part is, she seems to have grown up a ton. Not that I condone her growing up because I would love my baby to stay my baby. But she has handled all the hubbub beautifully. In the past, a month like this would send little miss over the edge and turn her into a holy terror. Or unholy? Basically, a lot of kicking and screaming. We did have some of that at the beginning of July but ever since then she has been mostly great. She's been super understanding about punishments and just overall a big help. Thanks heavens because Livia has found the terrible two's to be super fun.
Funny Ella story. This morning while playing she held a "dance recycle." I giggled and then was super grateful for her not being so grown up all the time. We have lost a lot of her cute sayings. Spoosky is now spooky. Slicy is now spicy. Most of her little vocabulary mistakes are tense and plural related. "I sawed him" "feets" that kind of stuff. It's just not nearly as cute. So I didn't correct her "recycle"
Ella has recently become a little shy. It's super weird. Even with neighborhood friends that she's known a couple months now. She just gets oddly shy around them. Of course, she warms after a bit but her normal outgoing self looks to be leaving. I guess that's good for the whole stranger danger thing.
Ella is becoming a little adult. This last Monday Livie was acting very off. She would randomly start screaming and pointing to her chest and was breathing super shallow. At one point I thought I was going to have to call 911 when she started turning blue. We got her calmed down and she pinked up so I placed a call to her pediatrician and we got the "Go to the ER right now." So we did and Ella was absolutely amazing. She could tell I was scared and ran to the car, got right in without her usual goofing off. In the ER she was so sweet, making sure Livia was comfortable and making sure mommy was ok. She's my little hero. Livie is fine by the way. She hasn't acted the same since and they didn't find anything wrong.
Ella is such a fun little girl. I love watching her grow and learn new things. We're both super excited to see her go to preschool at the end of the month. It'll be weird sending her but I'm excited to see her grow and learn.
