It's always a little strange to me when I have a spike in page view. Today there have been 23 so far. Weird. That number is pretty standard towards the beginning of the month when I do the monthly Ella and Livie posts. Anyway, to appease the viewers who have been looking for something new and not getting it, I have uploaded pictures. Enjoy! And fair warning. August has been a busy month!
I love moments like this, when they seem like the best of friends.
Mom and Dad joined us for church when we had to give talks. They brought cousins and while waiting for dinner to cook this is what happened.
Ahhh the Highland Fling. Face paints and snow cones.
Last year my mom stated a tradition of a granddaughter tea party the same weekend as the highland fling. The boys are banish to Cabella's (they were soooo upset about that one...) This year grammy chose teddy bear picnic as the theme. She went all out and even made chalk paint for the girls.
Crying over spilled chalk paint. She's so stinkin' cute.
Grammy and her granddaughters.
The picnic
A little craft.
Grammy spoils her girls Livie and Bryn
After the tea party the adult partiers filtered in. Barbecue chicken and other nummies. Mostly gabbing but some games of washers. And then FIREWORKS. The best fireworks ever. Fireworks that melt your eyeballs. Fireworks that burst your eardrums. Fireworks that rain down firey death upon you! Okay, it's really perfectly safe just really close. They shoot them off in the field behind my parents house. They're epicly awesome.
Lyncoln needs to teach Evan to smile...
If you look closely, in the background you can see my new niece/nephew growing :) Britt makes a beautiful pregnant lady.
Also in August, Andrew and I celebrated out 7th anniversary! Crazy! Andrew was in charge this year We take turns cuz I don't think it's fair to make the man plan every lovey holiday every year. They're bound to fail. So we had a child-free weekend in Island Park. On Friday we went to Quake Lake before the storm hit.
When we got home, we found where the squirrel was sneaking into my in-laws trailer. They recently purchased land with a modular home on it. It was old and a little holey. And a demon squirrel was getting in and eating the toilet paper. Andrew didn't bring his tools (shocker, I know) so we improvised with what we had. 2x4's and duct tape. Then we settled in for the evening while it POURED! It was awesome. And cold.
Saturday we went to yellowstone and did the north loop. Neither one of us ever had and since that's supposedly the best place to see animals we gave it a shot. I must be bad luck though. We saw one male Elk and two cow elk and a calf. And one elk (we think) skeleton. I was really hoping to see a bear but no.
Olivia had a cardiology appointment this past month too. It went just fine. The real excitement happened after when us three girls went to the ZOO! Livie is totally my child. Her favorite was the monkeys. Ella loved the elephants and giraffes.
My own two little monkeys
Ella and Liv were also a big fan of the carousel. Ella was a little nervous since she was up pretty high but once we got going and she realized she wasn't gunna get bucked off she was just fine.
And what's a mommy-daughter date without a little spoiling. Cotton candy and snow cones.
Ella loved the fountain. This is her being eaten.
Train ride!
Ella didn't want her picture taken. She just wanted to look at the giraffes.

You are such a good mommy. You will never regret the time spent with your family, especially those little munchkins. Never time wasted.
