I have the sweetest girl in the world. Don't get me wrong, she's still two and still throws tantrums but they are lessening. So why is she sweet? Because after every tantrum she will give you hugs and kisses and say sorry. This Holiday season mommy has been particularly sensitive due to hormones and all that fun stuff. So mommy frequently breaks into tears during reading time (we've been reading Christmas books lately.) Or she gets a little teary eyed during the pampers silent night commercial. Or she gets teary eyed when she's practicing her Christmas songs on the piano. At first this made Ella very concerned. Now she's used to it and will come give me hugs and kisses and stroke my cheeks. Such a good girl to take care of mommy. She is the same way with Andrew. Not that he cries but when he gets home from work she'll grab his face and kiss him. She's just such a sweetie!
I know I keep saying Ella talks a ton. So here are some of her most frequent sayings.
"I fin em"-I found it,him, her
"Hold you now, pease mommy." Hold me now please, mommy.
"I yub you too, mommy...daddy." I love you (too)daddy. Sometimes she doesn't need to say too but she does anyway. Obviously she spends more time with mommy.
"Watch this now, pease." I think you can get this one on your own.
"Sit down now, mommy!" She doesn't' have to snuggle but it's always better watching a movie with someone.
In response to "What do you want to eat?" "Food" or "Dinner" or "Snack" or "treat"
"You/I get it!" Depending on her mood.
"Pi-ey, pease"-pretty please
"Ooo, pi-ey mommy!" I love that one.
"Look at me, mommy/daddy!" Or yesterday's "Look at me daddy, I pi-ey!" She really loved her dress she wore to church.
"Look at me. I a fog/horse/dog etc."-Look at me. I'm a frog etc.
"Kiss you, mommy/daddy?" Sometimes with and added "On fo-head?" She loves kissing our foreheads.
Ella picks up on so much! Since we've been watching Christmas movies she's learned who Santa, Rudolph etc are. Her favorite new thing is "Can you do the Home Alone scream?" She'll stick her hands on her cheeks and scream low and shake her head back and forth. She still ho, ho, ho's for santa. Ella is so excited for Santa to come. If you ask her what she wants for Christmas she'll say "pessents"/presents. It takes some work to get her to say what exactly she wants. So far she wants a train, a rainbow, and a barbie. I may have already said this but it's still cute.
Ella did get the chance to sit on Santa's lap this past weekend. She was so excited, until she was on his lap. Then she got nervous. Next year though...hopefully.
Some of Ella's favorite things to do are: play in the snow, color, play with playdough, read, play the piano, watch all the usual characters and a few new ones too ("Cha-ie Bown and noopy dog") dress up as superman and "fly", play pretend animals/mommy.
I sure love my babe. She's so fun to teach. Here's a video of her singing. She's singing "Naughty Mommy."
