16 Weeks

Hooray! I'm out of the first trimester and starting to feel like it. It's extremely rare now that I feel sick or anything sounds absolutely disgusting. I still don't love chicken, or meat in general, but if it's a part of something i.e. casserole, soup etc. then I'm fine. Oh except pig....I still LOVE bacon, ham, pork ribs and so on. The exhaustion is ebbing as well. Hallelujah! My house actually gets cleaned now and I even found the energy to do some Christmas baking. And best of all!!! I'm starting to feel the little one!

Those are the current pros. Now the cons. I'm still quite soar from stretching ligaments. During Ella's pregnancy I could do whatever whenever I wanted. For example, I rearranged the furniture in our bedroom during the eigth month. I was 37 weeks so what harm could it have done anyway. Still, the man got mad at me. Well, he won't have to worry about that this time. Because of the soarness I am forced to take it easy. It actually hurts this time! If I do any lifting, stand on my feet too long, play too hard with Ella, then I pay until I rest enough to make my uterus happy once more. It's really annoying. On bad days, showering is even standing too long.

My least favorite of the cons; I am carrying this kid stinkin' low! Babe moves and I have to pee. I didn't have that problem til half-way through the second trimester last time. The carrying low really isn't a big deal. My poor bladder is just getting a huge workout and it's frustrating. I have a small bladder anyway and am really missing only peeing once during the night. Here's to hoping the kid moves up soon. And for those of you who believe the old wives tale about carrying low means a boy, I don't necessarily believe that but I was leaning toward boy. Now, I have gone back to having no clue.

16 Weeks

In other exciting baby news, I had my 16 week appointment today. During the heartbeat check I was getting a little nervous because the Dr. was having a hard time tracking the kid down. At the first appointment he found the babe 1.5 below my bellybutton. Super easy. So he's searching and searching and finally informs me that since my torso is so long babe's probably hiding low. Sure enough after digging (yes, digging. It kinda hurt and left me soar) around with that darn tool we found the babe hiding around where you'd normally find your ovary. And once poked with it the kid runs off! So, the kid is low (which I had already suspected) and very fast and squirmy. And healthy as far as we can tell at this point. Other exciting news from our appointment. We scheduled our ultrasound for Jan 20th. So make your guesses.

Bobby has said girl from the start. I didn't like meat very much and I had a girl so who knows. As for now I have no clue.

I'm no good with the wives tales an all that jazz, but I hope you have a boy. One of each would be great.
