Happy New Year!

Because I'm still going to school my years seem to be a little off. I feel like my new year starts as soon as school gets out. So according to my skewed point of view I am about a month into my new year. What happens at new years? Everyone makes resolutions of some sort. Well since the start of my new year I have had a few.
1. Get up at or before 9 o'clock.
2. Be more productive in general.
3. Get a hobbie.
Number one has failed miserably so far. I am not a morning person and as such have only made that goal about three times.
Number two is working out quite well. I've been spring cleaning and keeping up on housework. Not to mention I am making nicer dinners for Andrew and I. He of course is loving this resolution of mine.
Number three has also worked out well. Over memorial holiday my mom taught me (re-taught actually) how to crochet. So far I have made one Christmas stocking, but more importantly I am making a baby blanket. It's turning out really cute and I'm so proud of myself. Andrew also seems real proud of me. He started telling everyone about it after I first started. (And no, I'm not pregnant. Making a baby blanket doesn't mean anything 'cept I will be very prepared.)

Other news in the Turley home:
Andrew had his 24th birthday this week. He feels old being in his mid-twenties now but he seems to be coping just fine. He was able to get work off on his birthday and we spent the day together relaxing. I made breakfast for him and then he opened his presents (at least the ones I got him. He purchased some for himself since I refuse to buy hunting stuff since I don't know anything about it.) I got him two hot wheels, a Shelby GT 500 and a '69 Chevelle. He was quite excited about those. I also got him a nice kite, which he's been wanting since last spring. Nothing extravagant due to our lack of money but he was still quite happy about it.

Also, I have recieved a new church calling. I am the Relief Society music director. Nothing too exciting but something to keep me occupied.

Your baby blanket looks awesome! I need to find a hobby myself, I guess raising babies is mine...for now. (I love it!) And Happy Birthday Andrew! Sorry we weren't able to make your birthday party when you had it down here.
Keep up the good work Sarah! I look forward to seeing more of your stuff.

Andrew says thanks and it's ok that you missed. It was kind of a last minute thing.
